What young girl wouldn't want to dance her nights in this splendid castle, in the arms of a handsome suitor? This one is a retelling of the 12 Dancing Princesses. Together Galen and Rose will search for a way to break the curse that forces the princesses to dance at the midnight balls. I've always been a fan of "The Twelve Dancing Princesses" as a story. As the crown princess, Rose is never without a dance partner. The prologue opens on King Under Stone making a pact with Queen Maude. The written version, sure, but also that episode of Faerie Tale Theatre* -- it was one of my ultra-faves (which is really saying something).
